What the image tools do
Remove Background cuts out the subject with rembg and its isnet-general-use model and gives you a PNG with a transparent background. Image to Text reads English, Dutch, German, French or Spanish text in JPG, PNG and WebP images with Tesseract and saves what it finds as a .txt file.
Crop Image works with a fixed aspect ratio, a free crop or exact pixel sizes. Resize Image runs in your browser without uploading the picture. Round Corners sets the radius as a percentage of the shorter side, where 50 percent turns a square into a circle, and always saves a PNG so the corners stay transparent.
Add Border draws a solid or double frame between 1 and 200 pixels wide, and its shadow style makes that frame 18 pixels wider on every side. Flip or Rotate mirrors the image horizontally or vertically and turns it by any angle from minus 180 to 180 degrees. Add Watermark puts text or a second image on top of the picture.
Border, watermark and flip or rotate keep a PNG as a lossless PNG and save a WebP again at quality 90. Any other file comes back as a JPG at the quality the original was saved with, or at 92 when that can't be read from the file.
Frequently asked questions
Which languages does Image to Text read?
English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish. Pick the language before you run the tool, because Tesseract reads with the language data you choose and makes more mistakes on text in any other language.
Why does Round Corners turn my JPG into a PNG?
JPG can't store transparency, so rounded corners would fill up with a solid color. A PNG keeps the corners see-through.
Does rotating by an odd angle cut off the corners?
No. The canvas grows to fit the whole rotated picture, and the new corner areas are transparent when the file is a PNG or WebP.
Is the background removal result always a PNG?
Yes. Only a format with transparency can keep the empty area around the subject, so the cut-out is saved as a PNG whatever file you upload.
