Advanced Color Picker
Pick colors visually with full opacity control. Copy HEX, RGB, or HSL instantly. Use the EyeDropper to sample any color from your screen (Chrome).
How the color picker works
Drag through the color field or type a HEX code, and the picker shows the same color as RGB and HSL beside it. The opacity slider sets the alpha channel from 0, fully transparent, to 255, fully opaque. Copy HEX, Copy RGB and Copy HSL put the value on your clipboard in CSS format.
Pick from screen uses the EyeDropper API to sample any pixel on your screen, also outside the browser window. Chrome, Edge and Opera on desktop support it. Firefox and Safari don't, and Chrome on Linux only offers it under X11, not Wayland.
Save color keeps your last 20 colors in the browser's local storage, so they are still there after a refresh. The colors never leave your device.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't Pick from screen do anything?
Your browser doesn't have the EyeDropper API. It works in desktop Chrome, Edge and Opera, but not in Firefox, Safari or Chrome on Android. Type or paste the HEX code instead.
Does Copy HEX include the opacity?
No. Copy HEX gives the six-digit color code, and Copy RGB and Copy HSL leave the alpha out as well. Divide the opacity value by 255 to get the alpha for rgba() or hsla() in your CSS.
Where are my saved colors stored?
In local storage for this site in your browser. The list keeps the 20 most recent colors, and clicking a swatch copies its HEX code. Clearing the site data removes the list.
