About Image Resize
Image Resize runs entirely in your browser: the picture is redrawn at the new size on a canvas and saved without being uploaded. You can lock the aspect ratio, or unlock it and fit the image inside the new size, fill and crop it or stretch it, and JPG and WebP get a quality slider from 20 to 100.
Frequently asked questions
Is it better to resize down or up?
Down. A smaller image keeps its sharpness, while enlarging only spreads the existing pixels, which is why Don't enlarge stays on until you switch it off or pick a preset.
What's the smallest output size?
One pixel, or 1 percent of the original. Tiny sizes lose most of the detail, so for icons start from a sharp source image.
