Base color Palette
Generate complementary, analogous, triadic, tetradic, split-complementary, and monochromatic palettes.
About Palette Generator
Pick a base color and a palette type, and the generator turns the hue around the color wheel: 30 degrees both ways for analogous, 120 and 240 for triadic, 90, 180 and 270 for tetradic, and 150 and 210 for split-complementary. Monochromatic keeps the hue and adds two lighter and two darker versions, and complementary adds the opposite color in three shades plus a darker version of the base. Copy the result as HEX codes, CSS variables or a Tailwind config, or export it as a PNG.
Frequently asked questions
Which color theory rules can I pick?
Complementary, analogous, triadic, split-complementary, tetradic, and monochromatic. Each rule produces a different feel: complementary for high contrast, analogous for harmony.
Can I lock one color and randomise the rest?
No. The palette is calculated from the base color, so the same base color and type always give the same colors. Change the base color or switch the type to get a different set.
